Family Fun Day - “Unearth a Story”

Kick off the summer with our community event! Organized and staffed by the Friends of Athens-Clarke County Library, Family Fun Day features crafts, a petting zoo, puppet shows, and a host of activities. Hundreds of families attend and have the chance to sign up for summer reading and learn about the library.

Saturday, May 30

10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Animal Encounters

    Get up close with rabbits, chickens, even a piglet at the petting zoo, or pet a snake from the nature center.

  • Puppet Shows

    Catch a puppet show from Lee Bryan Puppet Guy.

    Puppet shows at 10:30, 11:00, 12:00, and 12:30

  • Touch a Truck

    Explore fire trucks, learn how your recycling gets picked up, or test a siren, with Athens-Clarke County services.
