BOOK DONATIONS
We love your donated books!
They are essential to our book sales being successful and raising funds for the library.
You can drop your books off in the donation bin at the front entrance of the library.
We welcome books in good condition and accept from a wide range of categories. Books that are particularly popular with the community include: cookbooks, mysteries, thrillers, contemporary and classic literature, history, and all books related to Georgia.
We also accept:
Board games — new or in good condition
Puzzles — new or in good condition
Comic books and graphic novels — new or in good condition
CDs — in good condition with intact covers
DVDs and Blu-Ray — in good condition with intact covers
Vinyl records — of any vintage, in good condition.
Vintage and One-of-a-Kind
A new area of our book sales that has generated great interest focuses on these books. If you have vintage books or one-of-a-kind items (signed books, for example) they are featured in a special section of the sale. You can be assured your donation of special books gets extra attention.
Items we unfortunately cannot accept:
Textbooks of any kind and in any condition
Cliffs Notes and other study guides
Travel books and maps that are out of date
Phone books and directories
Large donations
Downsizing? Dealing with an estate? We can accept larger donations and assist with pick-up and transportation within the Athens area. These do require advance notice — we are an all-volunteer organization. If you have such a donation, email us at the link below.
